Building our Original Track
INTRODUCTION The first track around the Main Technology Block was an oval with a passing loop and 5 steaming bays coming off a turntable. The track bed was made up of a number of different materials ranging from tarmac, to stone ballast and finally, a concrete bases. The track was approximately 200 metre in length and had 5" and 7 1/4" tracks. A new school building now covers the site. |
